Biographies
Dr. Terry Peckham, Saskatchewan Polytechnic
Dr. Terry Peckham is the Director and Research Chair of the Digital Integration Centre of Excellence (DICE) at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. His areas of expertise include the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to solve industrial problems. DICE is an NSERC-funded Technology Access Centre specializing in data stewardship, including the analysis, storage, transmission, security, and integrity of data across numerous industry sectors. DICE conducts applied research with industry partners from across Canada, with a regional focus on the Prairies. Its partners represent a wide range of sectors, including mining, health, education, fashion, entertainment, automotive manufacturing, semiconductors, aerospace, agriculture, and retail. DICE is also a member of NATO DIANA’s network of test centres in Canada.
Dr. Peckham received his MSc in data mining from the University of Regina and his PhD in applied artificial intelligence from the University of Saskatchewan. He currently serves on the Researchers Council for the Digital Research Alliance of Canada and is a board member of AiSK, a Saskatchewan-based not-for-profit organization that promotes artificial intelligence across the province. He is also the Board Chair of Legacy One, a not-for-profit organization that supports mental wellness programming for elementary and junior high school students in Saskatchewan.
Through his leadership, Dr. Peckham has helped advance collaborative applied research that connects academic expertise with industry needs. His work emphasizes practical innovation, responsible data use, and the development of emerging technologies that support economic growth and community impact in Saskatchewan and beyond.
